Basic Christmas Cookie Dough
Ingredients
1 cup softened butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tablespoon milk
lemmon peel
Instructions
Beat butter and sugar in large mixer bowl on medium speed. Beat in egg, vanilla, and salt. Add flour gradually to make a stiff dough. Add milk if necessary. shape dough into ball: divide in half. Refrigerate wrapped in plastic wrap.
