Lemon M1lk Sherbet
Sarah and Clark came up with this recipe. It can probably be made in any kind of ice cream making machine. Sarah made this for Della's birthday one year at the same time as Ned made his blueberry crisp. People took a little of each and a new taste sensation was created.
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups sugar
2 quarts milk
1 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tsp lemon rind, grated
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
Add sugar to slightly warmed milk and stir until completely dissolved. Then add remaining ingredients. Mix well and cool before pouring into freezer. The liquid will curdle, but it doesn't matter. Follow your normal ice cream making procedures.
